Photo diagnosis
Tap your camera, point it at the trouble. ReefBot's AI tells you what's likely going on, with a confidence score — not a guess. Every diagnosis is grounded in your most recent water parameters.
Point and ask
Brown jelly vs. healthy slime vs. cyano vs. dinos vs. nuisance algae — distinguished, not lumped.
Calibrated, not chatty
If the photo is unclear, the AI asks for a better angle instead of guessing. No coral medical advice — actionable next steps only.
Context-aware
Your latest alk, calc, mag, NO3 and PO4 are sent with the photo. Suggestions account for whether your alkalinity is dropping.
30-second test session
The Test Session wizard walks you through Alk, Ca, Mg, NO3, PO4, salinity and temperature — one parameter at a time, pre-filled with your last value, with the healthy zone visible. Tap, tap, save.
30 seconds, not 5 minutes
One screen per parameter. Stepper for fine-tuning. Saved together as a session, not seven scattered logs.
Real consumption rates
Insights computes 14-day rates per parameter — the metric reefers actually tune dosing on, not raw values.
Anomaly alerts
Local push when a reading sticks (test-kit failure), a rate crashes (calc reactor died), or a value spikes 3σ above your baseline.
Auto-calibrating dosing
After every fresh test, ReefBot reconciles 'what we expected' with 'what your tank actually consumed'. Each suggestion uses your real demand — not a generic BRS formula.
Pick your recipe
BRS 2-part, Tropic Marin Carbocalc, DIY soda-ash, Brightwell Magnesion — or roll your own with a custom coefficient.
Calibrated, not generic
Settling window means recommendations don't loop. Crash detection catches when a doser runs dry.
ICP import
Forward your Triton / ATI / Oceamo / Fauna Marin email or PDF — the AI extracts every parameter and you review before saving.
The whole reef
ReefBot ships with a reef-care knowledge base built into the AI — so suggestions know the difference between an Acropora wanting alk stability and a Euphyllia wanting calm flow.
Your reef, made manageable
The tools you'd build for yourself if you had three weekends and a Swift compiler. We did. Here's what came out the other side.
Snap a photo of your tank. ReefBot tells you cyano vs. dinos vs. brown jelly with a confidence score — grounded in your latest readings.
Recommendations based on what your tank actually consumes — not a generic BRS formula. Recipes for two-part, all-in-one, and DIY soda-ash.
Multi-photo episodes that chronicle your reef month-by-month. Followed by reef-keepers who like what you keep.

FAQ
No. ReefBot has no login, no signup, no email collection. The app is fully usable on first launch. Tank data, photos and parameters live on your device. The optional Community feed uses an anonymous per-install identifier — no account, no password.
On your device by default (SwiftData, iOS Data Protection). Photo Diagnosis sends one photo plus your latest parameters to OpenAI's vision API for analysis — and only when you tap Diagnose. We don't keep those photos. Full JSON + CSV export from Settings — your data is yours.
When you tap Diagnose, we send the photo and your last 15 readings to a server prompt that's been calibrated to ask for a better photo when uncertain instead of guessing. The reply is grounded in your tank's parameters — so the suggestion already knows whether your alk is dropping. Confidence is shown explicitly.
No. ReefBot is advisory by design. The Suggested Dose card recommends an amount based on your calibrated consumption rate — you tap to log it manually. We never auto-control anything.
7 days free. Cancel any time during the trial in your Apple ID settings — no charge. After the trial, $4.99 / month (€4.99 / 49 SEK / NOK / DKK). Auto-renews until you cancel.
iPad is a first-class layout — split-view dashboard built for the wall-mounted tablet next to your sump, not a stretched iPhone view. iCloud sync, Apple Watch logging, and Live Activities are on the post-launch roadmap.
